Pre-Engagement Function - Titus & Jasmine
Titus finds his woman from Mavadi, thanks to Appa, Amma and Ravikumar Chithappa. The pre-engagement function in the southern parts of Tamil Nadu bears the Tamil term - ' poo-vaippu '. According to custom, the mother of the groom has to pin flowers on the bride's hair. This is usually done at the bride's place, in the presence of the elders, and would stand as solemn promise and confirmation that her son would marry the daughter of the house.
