A Loverly Life

First time as a family to anywhere is special.

Nagercoil is the place I was born, there are a few super scenic beaches within the radius of 25 kilometers. Muttom is 17 kms away, Colachel, 24 kms and Kanyakumari, 21 kms. It was my first time to Muttom, second time to Colachel, and Kanyakumari, I must have visited at least ten times before. For the perennially home-bound madam, the equation was slightly different. But the lady's prettiness quotient kept increasing every time her eyes swelled in awe.

Shiny's ancestral home is at Narippaiyur, a 64 km drive from Ramanathapuram. The place has its own charm, with boats float-parked near the shore, waters clean and very less people on the beach. Mama recounted stories from his past, of how he grew up there, of the trouble they had to go through whenever storms crossed the shore, and all of his swimming adventures. Grandparents, sweet as always, warmed us with hearty blessings.

Dhanushkodi has always been close to my heart. Very interestingly, this is Shiny's first time to the island - although she has been staying an hour away from here, all her life. The views were breathtakingly beautiful. The only thing that has changed from my last visit is the new road that now extends up to Arichal Munai. Athai and Mama accompanied us, but we still managed to steal secret bites of laughter.
